Directions

Litchfield and the Winvian are a short 2 hour drive north of New York City and a long 1 hour drive west of Hartford. You can fly into either location, they have airports, and so does Westchester.

THE WINVIAN

This is the weekend headquarters.  There are 18 cottages on the property that are already occupied by the people we lovingly refer to as family (you know who you are). However, there will be one representative from each of the clingy cliques (Hotchkiss, Bowdoin, LV, Jersey, etc.), so that everyone has a home-base on the property.

LITCHFIELD INN

There is a room block of 17 here, which has been allocated to the friends of the FOB. Groups that can pair up (Families, Hotchkiss, Bowdoin, LV, Jersey, etc.), see the AirBnB section below for further instructions.

THE GRACE MAYFLOWER

We have no rooms blocked off at the Mayflower, but they have availability, as of now. If you want to stay at this renowned New England Inn, be prepared to pony up your first-born. However, the tradeoff is that you will have access to an amazing spa facility - actually, that is not a bad deal.

AIRBnB

Thank god for the Sharing Economy! There are a number of Airbnb's within 10 - 15 minutes of the various venues, so we need each of the friend groups (Hotchkiss, Bowdoin, LV, Jersey, etc.) to pair up in houses. Click here to see a list of the best options in the area, although others may become available in the coming months. If you do not like your friends, see the last option.

THE HERITAGE INN

For a 1970's style conference center off I-84 this place is actually pretty damn sweet, so we got a small room block.  However, it is a solid 25 - 30 minutes to Litchfield. If you are coming for the whole weekend, don't stay here. Call us and we will find you a spot. However, if you are just coming for the main event and are traveling from the south (NY/NJ),  it is right on your way to Litchfield.

GEODESIC DOME

If you don't like your friends and you don't think that you will need heat/running water during a CT winter weekend, this is your spot.  Be warned if you do not act fast, it will likely be grabbed by our one Maine Coast Semester representative, Mr. Danny Field, or the bride/groom. They like this sort of thing.

Local Transportation

Uber has not made its way to Litchfield yet and it is a bit far for Lakeville Taxi to come pick you up.  These facts combined with our desire to avoid any visits to the county jail, means we will be setting up Litchfield's own mass transit system for the weekend.  However, like in Detroit, service will be a bit limited.

Saturday  We will be providing shuttles to the ceremony for guests staying at the Litchfield Inn.  For everyone else please plan to drive to the ceremony and reception. However, shuttles will be available to take everyone back to their inns/houses from 10:00PM -  2:30AM. If you ask nicely, I am sure a housemate will return the favor from the day before and drive you the Winvain on Sunday AM to pickup your car.
